Easter Holidays
Well we hope you have had a great Easter holidays, the weather really has done us proud which does make a BIG change. We have been extremely busy over Easter and the bank holiday weekend that has followed, in fact we were verging on being unable to cope with the sheer amount of customers that has been stopping by especially for food & drink. We have also more or less been fully booked right through the holiday period, on some evenings we could have filled 10 more bedrooms if we had them. Looking at our statistics we have broken our records from the 10 years we have been here at Minffordd. A greats start to the 2011 season.
Bedroom Renovations.
During the next few months we will be completely renovating and refurnishing both bedrooms 1 & 2 which are in the older original part of the building; this has needed doing for some time now. Our aim is to modernise the furnishing & decor to a high standard just like we did last year with our superior bedroom room 4. We will keep you updated on our progress with images to follow.
New Menu
Darren our chefs new approach to our food service seems to be going down very well, Many of our guests & visitors have been walking the Cader Idris all day and need good sized portions which we aim to serve.
Now we offer a much less casual affair serving wholesome home cooked & prepared locally sourced food. The new menu consist of a mixture of restaurant dishes from old & our bar meals service that had become so popular with guests, tourist & walkers alike. We also regularly have daily specials and further options for guest who are staying more than 1 night, to make sure our guest are offered a great variety of food choice.
Final Note - What A Surprise
Over Easter the local farmer dropped us 12 sheep off to keep the grass down in our field. These were purely grazing animals and had not been visited by the framers busy Rams. We awoke one morning to find we had gained a baby, we contacted the farmer who didn’t believe us, he came down to check things were ok, he was more surprised than us…. Michelle has nicknamed him “Larry”
