Single Bedroom 2
Earlier this week we stripped out the contents of our other single room which is in the older original part of the building. Now our handy man had treated the wall which is part of the downs stairs chimney breast. He is going to straighten the wall via batons & plaster board to enable us to wallpaper it. After that it’s 2 new windows to be fitted and secure down a couple of the original 450+ year old floor boards that have become it little squeaky.
We can then move in with wallpaper & painting of the room before a local chap comes to fit out new carpets & bathroom flooring. We have ordered all furniture, new bed & accessories which are due within 3 weeks which will complete the final look of the room.
We will post some photos of work progress on this post so you can follow our progress. We would love to know your thought on the end result.

As the season is slowly quietening down we are starting the task of refurbishing some of our bedrooms that are in need. Nothing to major needs doing, mainly decor & furnishings. We are by no means interior designers and we seem to struggle to make decisions on what we want to do with each room, with regards to colours, furniture’s & accessories. We also don’t want to go over modern in design, a burst of colour we think is essential however the décor must be in keeping with this 450+ year old building.
Last year we tackled double bedroom 4, we are really proud of the end results with some great feed back being given during this summer season see here
Last month we started on single bedroom 5 we are very impressed with the end result See Here it looks really great, feedback from guests and also from the welsh tourist board are very pleasing.
